Easter and The Resurrection by Mike Bekemeier On the first Sunday of Lent I issued a challenge to our community to review the importance of Dignity in our lives. To reflect upon what the community really means to each of us and how each of us would suffer if this chapter could not continue to operate. Specifically I asked each of you to review both your time and financial commitments to the chapter. The response has been wonderful! I'm pleased to report that weekly donations have increased substantially! A few of you have made commitments to send in an additional monthly pledge! Several have come forward to volunteer their time and talents! The altar clothes and minister vestments have been laundered! Many of you arrive early now and help with the setup! Others stay after Mass and help with the put away! And more food has been brought to share at our monthly pot lucks! To all of you, our community is most grateful! Like Christ's resurrection almost 2000 years ago, we too our resurrecting our chapter, our spiritual lives, our faith community! As we celebrate Easter let us continue to remember the commitments we have made to our community and continue to expand upon them! Let us constantly remind ourselves that our community is nothing by itself! This community is US; it is for US; it will be there as long as WE are there! Remember Christ called each of us to serve Him! How better to serve the Lord than by serving each other and our community! Have a wonderful Easter Season!
