Note that 4 of our chapter presidents
have the distinction of serving more than one non-consecutive term
(highlighted in shades of blue).

(1) Our chapter
was founded in 1972 by Patrick McSweeney & Patrick
McArron. In 2002 Patrick McArron, then national vice
president, became president of DignityUSA when Mary Louise Cervone
resigned.

(2) Walter Kay was
elected president of DignityUSA in Sep 1977 & served Oct - Dec 1977.

(3) Carla Kaesbauer
served as national secretary
from Oct - Dec 1977,
& became acting president of DignityUSA (Jan
1978 to April 1978) when
Walter Kay resigned.

(4) Judy Carton
served as national secretary of DignityUSA 1983-1984.
-
(5) Michael
Bekemeier became the first recipient of the national Kevin Calegari
award in 1995 at the DignityUSA 25th anniversary national convention
held in Hollywood.

(6) Vice President
Joe Spinella became President when David Eddy resigned.
-
(7) Vice President Jim Cassidy became President when Glenn Krasinski
resigned.
-
(8) McArron was a
write-in candidate on a ballot of no contenders.
