December was a difficult time for our Dignity family in San Diego. Amidst all the joy of the season we had to deal with the pain of losing some of our loved ones.

In particular we gathered together on a cold Monday night, December 29^th at Founder's Chapel, USD to pay tribute to one of our family, Bruce Neveu. The memorial service was attended by nearly 300 people. It was a beautiful service. Fr. Barry Vinyard was the presider and Mike Scott delivered a very personal and touching eulogy. Pedro's mother, Margaret, Bruce's brothers Neil and Jan, and Earl Storm and Stan Lewis shared some reflections about Bruce and how he touched all our lives. William Lullo was at the piano, Rick Levesque played the flute and Karen P. was the cantor and soloist. A full Catholic Mass was celebrated in memory of Bruce. What many people don't know is that Bruce was not a Catholic and yet he was very catholic in his dedication to helping others. We will miss him dearly. The good news is that he is now once again with Pedro, the love of his life.
