Earl O. Caldwell, 79 died
peacefully in his sleep at his home in Lakeside, CA on March 2,
2008. He was born July 19, 1928 in San Diego.
Earl attended Hoover High
and St. Joseph Seminary, San Diego. Upon leaving the seminary, he
finished his education at San Diego State University. After
graduating from college Earl enlisted in the Army, spending his 3
years of service in Germany.
Earl taught at Roosevelt
Junior High and Pershing High Schools. His teaching career spanned
30 years. Earl was a member of SAGE and a founding member of the
San Diego chapter of DignityUSA.
He is survived by his
sister Joanne L Canfield of El Cajon, brother Donald M (& Jo Ann)
Caldwell of San Diego, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, many great nieces,
nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be
at 6 pm Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the First Unitarian Universalist
Church, 4190 Front St, San Diego 92103. Burial will be at 10 am at
Holy Cross Cemetery, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego 92102. Earl will be
laid to rest with John Kelsey his beloved life partner of more than
30 years.
